North Carolina Family Law Attorneys

Divorce, custody, and adoption are issues critical to the emotional and financial welfare of those involved. At Weaver, Bennett & Bland, P.A. our family law attorneys have guided clients through the minefields of family court, providing practical advice and sensitive counsel for over twenty-five years.

If you need a divorce, are negotiating with your spouse regarding terms of a separation agreement, or a change in circumstances indicates a modification of your court order, we urge to you select an attorney very carefully. If you would like to speak to a lawyer from our family law practice, please contact our office in Matthews to arrange a consultation about the following issues:

  • Divorce: Our attorneys' goal is to help a client navigate dissolution of marriage in the way that is least expensive and painful.
  • Separation Agreements: A well-designed separation agreement, which can be entered into before or after actual separation, is often the key to maximizing marital assets and protecting children during the process of divorce.
  • Property Settlements: As a full-service firm, our domestic lawyers are able to call on attorneys with experience in related fields. In that way, we are able to provide appropriate representation to those with large or complex marital estates, as well as to individuals of more modest means.
  • Custody/Visitation/Child Support: It is our goal to help our clients resolve complicated questions of custody, visitation, and child support in ways that protect and promote the welfare of their children.
  • Alimony/Separation Support: Our lawyers, whether helping a client negotiate alimony in a separation agreement or representing the client at trial, never lose sight of the client's best interests.

In addition to issues related to divorce, our family law attorneys help families with adoptions, name changes, guardianships, paternity actions, parental relocation, prenuptial agreements, protective orders, and modification of custody or support orders. In every area of domestic law, it is our goal to achieve a satisfactory resolution and protect our client's economic status and personal rights and privileges.
